Editorial standards
How FixWise earns trust.
FixWise.online publishes practical guidance across two coverage areas: FixWise Money and FixWise Resolve. The subject areas differ, but the standard is the same: define the problem, verify the facts that can change the answer, and make the next step clear.
Primary sources first
Time-sensitive rules, scheme limits, regulator requirements, deadlines, fees, and policy changes should be checked against the responsible regulator, government body, manufacturer, carrier, or provider. Important external claims should link close to the claim they support instead of relying only on a long source list at the bottom.
Freshness is explicit
A content edit is not the same as a factual review. Articles may show a factual-verification date only when time-sensitive claims and key sources were actually checked. Cosmetic layout changes do not reset that date.
No invented expertise
House-written guides use the site byline “FixWise” when no named writer is published. A reviewer is shown only when a real person performed that review and their role can be stated truthfully. We do not create fictional desks, credentials, endorsements, test results, or expert sign-offs.
Editorial independence
A brand, lender, insurer, manufacturer, carrier, or partner cannot buy a positive editorial conclusion or hidden ranking. Any sponsored or affiliate relationship introduced in the future must be clearly labelled and kept separate from the editorial decision.
Corrections are recorded
Material factual changes should be described in the article revision history. Readers can report an error with the affected URL. We preserve the distinction between a correction, a source re-check, and a normal wording or layout edit.
Published does not automatically mean indexed
A guide can be public and useful without becoming a search landing page. New articles default to noindex until a separate portfolio review confirms a distinct reader job, sufficient evidence, and a reason to exist beside neighboring guides. Supporting pages can remain noindex and followable for readers without competing in search.

FixWise Money coverage
Covers loans, credit, insurance, solar/EV purchase economics, business finance, and company-registration decisions. High-stakes claims should use current official sources and avoid pretending that general information is personalised advice.
FixWise Resolve coverage
Covers appliances, smart-home devices, shipping recovery, and subscriptions. Safety warnings must match the actual product category; a shipping article should never inherit appliance-hazard boilerplate.

What a formal editorial review records
- One useful intentThe review record identifies the reader problem, relevant jurisdiction or scope, risk class, and escalation route. A second page should not quietly target the same job.
- Traceable evidenceFor a formal review, key sources are recorded with their exact URLs, the claims they support, and the check date. Important links should also appear beside the relevant claim in the public guide.
- Topic-specific safetyAutomated checks reject leaked templates, unsafe markup, invented precision, and category-inappropriate escalation. Appliance guidance stops at the owner-safe boundary.
- Auditable reviewWhen a formal approval is performed, that approval is recorded. Material corrections can enter revision history; a layout deployment alone never becomes a new factual-review date.
- Search portfolio fitPublication does not create an SEO entitlement. Indexable guides must have a distinct job, pass the source and originality gates, and be deliberately promoted from the default noindex state. Near-duplicates stay useful without becoming a second search landing page.
Not every older published guide has completed this structured review package yet. Public source links and ordinary content edits are not represented as a staff approval. FixWise should show a factual-check date or named reviewer only when that specific check or review actually happened. Length is not a pass condition by itself; repeated modules, padded explanations, and undifferentiated source buckets are quality failures.
