← Full guide: Alexa Not Responding: Check Power, Network, and Account
Only one Echo is offline or unresponsive while the rest of Alexa works
A single-device failure is local. Check its power, Wi-Fi reachability, mute/state lights, then restart that Echo and reconnect only it.
Start here
A single-device failure is local. Check its power, Wi-Fi reachability, mute/state lights, then restart that Echo and reconnect only it.
Check these first
- Confirm other Echoes and Alexa app work.
- Check the affected Echo has stable power.
- Check it appears online in Alexa Devices.
Fix it in this order
- Power-cycle the Echo.
- Move it temporarily closer to the router or test a known-good network if possible.
- Reconnect Wi-Fi or remove/re-add only that Echo if it remains unreachable.
Evidence to keep
- Other Echo works
- Affected Echo online/offline state
- Known-good network test
Do not make it harder
- Resetting every device/router at once
How you know it is fixed
- The affected Echo answers and stays online independently.
If the obvious fix does not work
- If it stays offline on a known-good network while other Echoes work, treat it as a device-specific hardware/support case.
If this still isn't resolved
- Amazon device support if the Echo fails on known-good power/network
