Use the lender’s certificate as a starting record, not a legal conclusion. Tie its opening balance, interest debits, payments and closing balance to the detailed ledger. Mark each non-interest item separately: principal, processing fee, insurance, penalty, collection charge and tax. If study-period interest was capitalised, distinguish the date it entered the principal balance from the date the borrower actually paid it.
Send a precise correction request when numbers disagree:
Please issue a tax-year interest certificate and ledger reconciliation for loan account [last four digits]. Show interest charged, interest paid, principal paid, capitalised interest, reversals and non-interest charges separately for [period]. The current certificate differs from the attached ledger at [date/entry].
Do not send PAN, full account numbers or identity documents to an address taken from a search ad. Use the lender’s authenticated app, website, branch or statement contact.
