A lender can issue an NOC while an old auto-debit instruction still exists, and a closed lender account can still appear incorrectly on a bureau report for a period. Treat each as a separate verification.
- NOC: proves the lender records the loan as closed or no-dues.
- Mandate: controls future automated debits from the repayment account.
- Credit report: shows what the lender reported to the credit-information company.
