Bank grievance and Ombudsman timelines may be much slower than a university payment deadline. If disbursement is delayed, contact the university finance office immediately with the sanction and complaint evidence. Ask whether a short extension, instalment arrangement or temporary hold is available.
Do not make an emergency payment through an expensive unsecured loan without comparing the cost. If family funds are used temporarily, keep records so reimbursement from the education loan can be handled correctly if the lender permits it.
When the complaint is resolved, confirm not only that money was sent but also the value date, beneficiary and amount received by the university. A “processed” message from the bank is not enough if the university still shows an unpaid balance.
The practical goal of escalation is to protect the education timeline as well as obtain a regulatory remedy. Work both tracks at the same time: formal complaint for the banking issue and direct communication with the university for the immediate deadline.
