Before sanction, a dispute may concern application handling or discrimination. After sanction, it may concern disbursement, fees or changed terms. During repayment, it may concern interest, restructuring or recovery. State the stage clearly because the evidence differs.
For disbursement delay
Attach the university invoice, sanction condition and date you submitted the disbursement request. Ask what exact condition remains pending. Copy the university finance office if a deadline is approaching and request a written extension.
For interest disputes
Attach the loan ledger and identify the calculation period. Ask the bank to show how interest and capitalisation were applied. Do not mix an interest dispute with a request for lower rate unless they are genuinely connected.
For recovery conduct
Preserve messages and calls, but continue addressing the legitimate repayment obligation. Misconduct complaints and debt settlement are separate tracks.
For Ombudsman filing
Use the bank’s complaint number, final response, chronology and exact remedy. Confirm the complaint is eligible under the current RBI Ombudsman scheme. The CMS portal currently references the 2026 scheme, so older templates may not reflect current coverage.
A strong complaint is narrow enough that an independent reader can understand the breach and remedy in five minutes.
